Deschutes River Conservancy

The Deschutes River Conservancy is dedicated to improving the quality and level of stream flow in the Deschutes basin. The intention was to elicit an emotional response compelling readers to join their efforts. Rather than focusing on the technical aspect of their work, we emphasized the importance of the river to the average person. Dramatic images depicting a complete absence of water add to the poignancy of the question 'What if there was no river?'
